Split Comparison
| Virginia – 2026 ACCs | Virginia – 2024 ACCs |
Virginia – 2024 ACCs
|
|
| Bryn Greenwaldt | 21.72 | Jasmine Nocentini | 21.55 |
| Claire Curzan | 20.63 | Gretchen Walsh | 19.95 |
| Anna Moesch | 20.94 | Alex Walsh | 20.82 |
| Sara Curtis | 20.46 | Maxine Parker | 21.31 |
| 1:23.75 | 1:23.63 |
The biggest difference in today’s relay compared to the NCAA record is Gretchen Walsh‘s 19.95 relay split from the 2024 meet. That is still the only sub-20 second relay split as Walsh holds the top six relay splits of all-time.
All four relay members tonight were not even a member of Virginia back in 2024. Claire Curzan (gap year after coming from Stanford) and Bryn Greenwaldt (Division II Augustana) were in the NCAA while Moesch and Curtis were in high school.
The Virginia women have now won this relay the last seven years.

It’s crazy how many women have gone under the 21 barrier in the last few years! It was so rare just like 3 years ago
Imagine if B. Greenwaldt matched her personal best time (21.51).
so in the past 3 years, they have 1 swimmer who’s split sub 20, 5 more who’ve split sub 21, and 1 more who went 21.10 flat start
Alex Walsh = Mother
Truly. Splitting sub 21 and also didn’t she win the 400 IM and 200 breast that year? What an insane spread of events
Having 2 completely separate relays do that time is wild
Where is Curtis all time split wise?? Going sub 20.5 is rare air on relays
Jk I see it in the picture caption now lol.
performer wise she’s tied for 9th, which surprises me tbh did not realize so many women had gone faster
Walsh 19.95, Hopkin 20.27, Douglass 20.34, MacNeil 20.37, Huske 20.39, Berkoff 20.40, Manuel 20.45, Weitzeil 20.45, and then Curtis is tied with Spink who swam the 20.46 literally yesterday on the medley relay lol
I think Curzan is then 13th, with julia Dennis @ 20.49 and Erika brown @ 20.57 coming inbetween
Thank youuuu I was curious haha
1:23 with neither Walsh and a 21.7 leadoff is just disgusting
Yes, it is.
