Drexel Sweeps Monmouth On Senior Day, Krpina Sets New Program Record In 1000 Free

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel women’s swimming team celebrated Senior Day with a 175–73 win over Monmouth on Saturday. The meet marked the final home appearance for seniors Megan EhrnfeldtOlivia ScherbinDelaney LeonardJessie RothrockAli BraggHannah Carmen, and Emma Flickinger as the Dragons closed the regular season with a strong performance in the DAC.

Drexel opened the day by taking the top two spots in the 400 medley relay and followed with a sweep of the top three finishes in the 1000 freestyle. The Dragons controlled the sprint events as well, going 1-2-3 in the 50 free and finishing 1-2 in the 200 free, while adding wins in both relays to cap the meet.

PHILADELPHIA – The Drexel men’s swimming team closed out Senior Day with a 177–81 victory over Monmouth on Saturday, improving to 5-1 on the season. The meet marked the final home appearance for seniors Sebastian SmithYoussef Bahgat, and Alex Blacker, highlighted by a school-record performance from Roko Krpina in the 1000 freestyle.

Drexel opened the meet with a win in the 400 medley relay before Krpina set a new program record in the 1000 free with a time of 9:16.82. The Dragons continued to control the meet with multiple event victories across sprint and distance races, including wins from Matas CingaTheo AndreopoulosPetar PavalicSebastian Smith, and Mark Eszes.

Cinga delivered a pair of first-place finishes in the 200 freestyle and as part of the winning 400 freestyle relay, while Andreopoulos claimed victories in the 50 freestyle and 150 backstroke. Smith added a win in the 50 butterfly and anchored the meet-closing relay as Drexel secured the Senior Day sweep.
