Texas State finalist Gabi Aegerter has verbally committed to join the Florida Southern class of 2030.
I’m extremely blessed to announce my verbal commitment to continue my athletic and academic career at Florida Southern College. Aegerter attends Eaton High School and swims for Lakeside Aquatic Club near Dallas, Texas. At the 2025 6A State Championships, she finished 9th in the 500 freestyle, touching in 4:58.20, which was a slight add from the 4:58.01 she swam at the District Championships.
At the Speedo Sectionals meet in Justin, she finished 71st in the 200 free (1:57.03), 21st in the 500 free (5:01.19), 27th in the 1000 free (10:24.64), 14th in the 1650 free (17:29.40), and 66th in the 200 IM (2:12.53).

Florida Southern is a Division II school that competes in the Sunshine State Conference. At last year’s Championships, the women finished 4th overall, coming in at 383.5 points, just over 200 points behind Lynn’s 602.5.
The Moccasins recently hired a new head coach with Steven Bostick taking over the program during the summer after the retirement of their former coach Andy Robins.
Aegerter will be an immediate impact maker for the team. Her 200 and 500 freestyle times would be the fastest on the team so far this season, and her 500 would have been the fastest on last season’s team, with nobody swimming under 5:00 in the event.
In the 1650, she would be 2nd so far this season with only freshman Natalie True‘s 17:33.78 from the Gamecock Invite coming in ahead of her.
She will join Ellison DeGhetto as a member of the Moccasins freshman class in the fall.
