Freestyle me arm movements ke 3 main phase hote hai:
- Pull (paani kheenchna) – forward momentum generate karta hai
- Push (paani peeche dhakelna) – speed banata hai
- Recovery (arm ko wapas le aana) – next stroke ke liye prepare karta hai
Goal: Continuous propulsion without wasting energy.
2. Entry – hand paani me kaise dale
- Hand ko shoulder line ke thoda aage enter karo, na ki bahut aage balki entry krne ke baad hand ko aage tak badhao.
- Fingers slightly tight aur slightly cupped.
- Entry ke time palm thoda downward aur outward rakho.
3. Catch – paani ko pakadna
- Jaise hi hand paani me enter karti hai, palm aur forearm se paani pakdo.
- Arm ko thoda bend elbow se rakho (high elbow catch).
- Hand paani me “S-shape ya straight backward motion” me move karega.
4. Pull phase – paani ko peeche kheenchna
- Pull me aap forearm aur palm dono se paani kheenchte ho.
- Elbow upar aur wrist relaxed.
- Pull ke end me hand hip ke paas hota hai.

6. Recovery – arm wapas lane ka technique
- Arm ko relaxed rakho, shoulder ke upar se bahar aur aage le aao.
- Hand loose aur elbow slightly bent.
- Recovery me zyada muscle tension nahi hona chahiye.
