Fitter and Faster Swim Camps is the proud sponsor of SwimSwam’s College Recruiting Channel and all commitment news. For many, swimming in college is a lifelong dream that is pursued with dedication and determination. Fitter and Faster is proud to honor these athletes and those who supported them on their journey.
Bolles School Sharks’ Cora Foxwell-Jones has verbally committed to Stony Brook University for the fall of 2026.
I am beyond excited to announce my verbal commitment to continue my academic and athletic career to swim at Stony Brook University! First and foremost, I want to thank God for giving me this talent and allowing me to glorify Him through it. I also want to thank my parents and friends for always supporting me through everything and always believing in me. To all of my coaches throughout my swimming journey, thank you for pushing me to be my best. Finally, a huge thank you to Coach Mark and Coach Laura for giving me this incredible opportunity. GO SEAWOLVES! 🐺💙❤️
As a junior at Fernandina Beach High School, Foxwell-Jones finaled in the 100 freestyle at the Florida High School Class 2A Championships last November, placing 6th in 54.03. She also nabbed a 10th-place finish in the 100 backstroke, clocking 59.73.
One of her best performances came at the Florida Senior Championship in March (SCY). There, she notched best times in the 50 free (24.64), 100 free (53.25), 200 free (1:57.71), 50 back (27.41), 100 back (58.21), and 200 back (2:09.23).
Foxwell-Jones opened up her 2025-2026 campaign at the Frank Holleman Invitational in September. While she didn’t crack any best time barriers, she still swam just two-tenths off of her best in the 100 back, clocking 58.41 to finish 2nd, and was within a second of her best time in the 50 free, touching 9th in 25.26.
Best Times SCY:
- 50 Free: 24.64
- 100 Free: 53.25
- 200 Free: 1:57.71
- 100 Back: 58.21
- 200 Back: 2:09.23
The Stony Brook women compete in the Coastal Athletic Association, and they’re coming off a 9th-place showing at the 2025 CAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
Based on Foxwell-Jones’ best times, she would have finished 41st in the 50 free, 38th in the 100 free, and 41st in the 200 free.
The event lineup could be flexible with her backstroke pedigree, but just from a first look, Foxwell-Jones could really grow into a utilitarian piece of the Stony Brook women’s program.
Foxwell-Jones joins Maya Hibbard and Lani Bao in the Seawolves’ 2026 women’s recruiting class.
