Victoria (Tori) Castro of Greater Somerset City YMCA, and Flemington, NJ, is set to join the Bison of Bucknell for the fall of 2025.

Castro finished 2nd at the 2025 YMCA Short Course Nationals in the 50 freestyle (23.18). Earlier in the meet, Castro led off the 200 free relay in 23.03, marking her fastest ever performance.
She set another lifetime mark in the 100 free, where she finished 9th overall in 50.38. Her 100 butterfly saw similar success when she finished 4th in a new best time in 55.04.

Bucknell competes in the Patriot League, where the women 3rd out of 10 teams at the 2025 Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships last season.
At those championships, based on Castro’s best times, she would have a conference-winning time in the 100 free, 4th in the 50 free, and 11th in the 100 fly.
Bucknell adds Castro to their big 2025 recruiting class, which includes Tessa Feld, Kennedy DeVeaux, Alivia Wainwright, Joslin Halsey, Emma Briganti, Keira Giles, Natalia Gajeki, and Hanna Klingensmith.
