The semi-finals of the women’s 100m butterfly took place during the first evening session of the 2025 World Championships.
Although Great Britain’s Keanna MacInnes finished 12th and out of the final, the 23-year-old did knock down her own Scottish national record.
MacInnes stopped the clock at a time of 57.67, slicing .23 off her previous Scottish standard of 57.90 put on the books in the heats of the event at the 2024 Olympic Games.
MacInnes set herself up nicely during this morning’s opening round, producing an AM swim of 57.90 to claim the 14th seed before dropping off another .23 to make her mark.
| MacInnes’ New Scottish Record – 57.67 | MacInnes’ Old Scottish Record – 57.90 |
| 27.10 | 27.18 |
| 30.57 | 30.72 |
She bumps herself up to now become GBR’s 5th-fastest woman in history.
