Poor Water Quality Se World Open Water Swimming Championships Postponed

World Aquatics ki governing body ne ak statement me kaha ki Singapore me hone wali World Championships me open water swimming ko “water quality acceptable level se jada hone” ke karan postpone kar diya gaya hai.

Organizers ne kaha ki Tuesday ko late night collect ki gayi water quality samples ka analysis competition start hone ke liye standards ke anuroop paya gaya.

Men’s 10km ki race Wednesday ko local time ke according dophar 1 baje (0500 GMT) start hogi. Women’s 10km ki race jo Tuesday ko scheduled thi aur phir Wednesday ko reschedule ki gayi thi, men’s race ke baad hogi.

Women’s 10km event Tuesday ko start hona tha lekin ise Wednesday tak ke liye push back kar diya gaya. Ye event men’s 10km event ke saath hi held ki jayegi.

Other open water events Friday, Saturday and Sunday ko scheduled hain.

Last year Paris Olympics me Seine River ki water quality ko lekar concern ke karan open water swimming ak issue tha. 2021 ke Tokyo Olympics and 2016 ke Rio de Janeiro Olympics me bhi ak issue tha.

World Championships me water polo competition ak indoor venue par chal rahi hai.

Championships ka main event pool me 8 days ki swimming competition hai, jo 27 July se start hogi.
