Unlike last year jab New Delhi Municipal Corporation ne summer ke dauran apne 3 major swimming pools me students ko free coaching offer ki thi, iss saal inn facilities ka use nahi kiya ja sakta hai. NDMC dwara managed three prominent pools Mandir Marg, Sarojini Nagar and Laxmibai Nagar me sthit hai, aur har ak facility summer ke dauran 100 se 150 young students ko attract karti hai.
Officials ke according, students ke liye inhe open karne se pahle inn sites par detailed repair work ki jarurat thi. “Inn facilities ki repairing lambe time se nahi ki gayi hai. Side periphery, stairs etc. Jaise various places par broken tiles and damages hain. Civil department ko detailed repair work karne ki jarurat hai. Jab tak work complete nahi ho jata, humne iss saal students ke liye facilities nahi kholne ka decision liya hai,” NDMC ke ak official ne kaha.
Kai saalon se NDMC apne jurisdiction me rahne wale students ke liye summer ke dauran free lessons facilities chalati rahi hai. “Halanki NDMC ke jurisdiction se bahar rahne wale students se Rs. 500 per month fee liya jata hai. Kisi bhi outsider aur kisi bhi staff member ko inn swimming pools ko use karne ki permission nahi hai,” ak officer ne pahle kaha. Council ne morning and evening shifts me conduct hone wali swimming classes ke dauran students ki safety ensure karne ke liye sabhi necessary measures lene ka daawa kiya.
Unlike NDMC, Delhi Development Authority ne garmi se relief provide karne ke liye city ke various locations par swimming pools accessible banaye hain. Authority public use ke liye swimming pool feature karne wale 17 sports complexes ka ak network manage karta hai aur isne fresh permissions obtain karne ke baad unhe khol diya hai. Inme Saket Sports Complex, Yamuna Sports Complex, Netaji Subhash Sports Complex at Jasola, Dwarka Sports Complex Sector 11, Rohini Sports Complex, Major Dhyan Chand Sports Complex, and Hari Nagar Sports Complex swimming facilities shaamil hain.
Ak official ne kaha, “Ye seasonal pools typically September ke end tak open rahte hain.” DDA all-weather swimming pools bhi banaye rakhta hai, jaise ki Siri Fort Sports Complex, jo annually 10 months tak functional rahte hain- 1st February se 30th November tak. Olympic size (25x50m) ke 40 pools me ak session me maximum 80 participants ko allow kiya jata hai. Summer months me swimming coaching ka charge 1250 rupees per person hota hai.
