The four-day competition will include at least nine former Olympians in the field, including American medalists Dave Wharton and Ashley Whitney, and Swedish medalist Michael Soderlund.
Also competing will be Danish Olympian and former NC State Wolpfack Anton Ipsen, the 2018 NCAA champion in the men’s 1650 freestyle.
Ipsen is entered in the men’s 200, 500 and 1000 free, 200 back and 400 IM, competing in the men’s 30-34 age group.

Vesna Shelnutt is an Olympian also. I believe a few more missing.
Vesna is the third person on that list. If you have any others, please let me know. I’m always trying to put together a complete list but know I’ll probably never get there.
Oliver Elliot is an Olympian for Chile
Thank you for the addition!
Anton Ipsen is a crazy pull. Haven’t heard that name in a long time. 4:09/14:24 and a 3:39 4 IM all pre covid are some serious times even compared to todays times
I think he’s still the only person to break 4:10, 4:40, and 14:25 tho Rex got really close.
crazy thing about that is Dolan almost did that in a brief…..that is ridiculous
Tom Kremer has that dawg in him! One of my favorite swimmers ever
Let’s go, Ashley Whitney!!!!
My friends are going to this meet. It’s a shame I couldn’t make this event.
But I’m sure it will be a blast and I can’t wait for the swim results and articles!!!
In non Olympic years this is the biggest meet of year
Still competing in yards in late April? What a joke.
Aren’t you just a ray of sunshine on a cloudy day?
“Still competing at age 93? How awesome!”
There, fixed it for ya!
It’s Masters Swimming….we do what we want.
There it is again. Unprovoked super negative comment that requires decent knowledge of swimming. Something weird is happening on this website
