The 2025 Women’s Division I NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships begin tomorrow night with the 200 medley relay and 800 freestyle relay. Most teams made the trip out to Seattle on Sunday or Monday. Some teams had 17 hour travel days, and the 4x defending champions of Virginia flew on a charter jet.
Since arriving, a few teams did some sight seeing. Florida’s Jojo Ramey even caught a fish while at the Seattle Public Market.

Todd was flying it
He took a puddle jumper to Washington, D.C. and is flying first class on a Boeing 767 non-stop to Seattle, WA. Head coach status has its privileges.

Surprised teams waited until so close to the meet to travel with the 3 hour time difference for some
NCAA rules don’t give much travel time.
I hated flying on the Embraer Jets. The seats have practically no padding, so it’s sitting on a piece of plywood.
So UVA cuts diving but takes a PJ?

They deserve to take a private jet!
It’s not a private jet, it’s a chartered flight. If you need 30 spots flying out of these college towns, you book all the seats. Happens all the time.
They literally captioned and hashtagged PrivateJet #PJ
I mean they can call it whatever they want, its pretty clearly from the video a chartered flight via Denver Air Connection, which is a commercial airline.
And cut 7 swimmers
Looks like a charter – not exactly a luxury jet. They have almost 20 athletes. Cville is a small airport – doubtful any direct flights. It makes sense.
There is no first class on an Embraer Jet.
As if the University of Virginia can afford to even lease a private jet.
It honestly doesn’t look very comfortable, especially if they were flying all the way to Seattle and not just the closest major airport.
It isn’t. Virtually no leg room, narrow seats, plywood seating (the seat cushions are wafer thin).
Will the men take a PJ 🤔
They’d be lucky to be in cargo
They’re loading up in a second hand school bus as we speak.
