Mayor Manoj Kumar ne Wednesday ko announce kiya ki Mangaluru City Corporation, We One Aquatic Club ke association me 2 February ko Yemmekere International Swimming Pool me Mayor Cup State-level Swimming Championship ka aayojan karega.
Mr. Kumar ne yhan press persons ko bataya ki ye championship boys and girls ke liye 14 categories me held ki jayegi. Mayor ne kaha ki ye budding swimming talents ko encourage karne ke liye non-medalist category ke liye organize ki ja rahi hai. Unhone kaha ki championship me total 70 individual events and 6 relay events hongi. 50+25m Olympic standard pool me held hone wali iss competition me Mysuru, Bengaluru, Belagavi, Mandya, Puttur, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Karkala and other places se 350 se jada swimmers participate karne ki ummeed hai.
Har ak category me first three winners ko medals and certificates diye jayenge, jabki har ak category me highest points score karne walon ko individual championship prizes diye jayenge.
Mr. Kumar ne kaha ki highest points score karne wali three teams ko Mayor Cup prize milega.
Karnataka Legislative Assembly Speaker U.T. Khader, MP Brijesh Chowta, Mayor, Deputy Mayor P.S. Bhanumathi district ke MLAs and MLCs aur baaki log inaugural function me shaamil honge. We One ke President Madhuraj aur baaki ke log bhi maujood rahenge.
