HAMILTON – MG KingNatalie Hofer, and Ellie Sundin all won multiple events as the Colgate women’s swimming and diving team earned a dominant 163-84 victory over Hamilton on Friday evening inside Lineberry Natatorium. The Raiders won 10 total individual events in the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED

MG King shined for the Raiders, leading the way with three individual victories. Hofer and Sundin also won multiple events with two victories each, while Lucy ArtAudrey Collins, and Adrienne Hagins each won an event on the women’s side. 

King was the frontrunner in the 200 Yard Freestyle (2:00.08), 100 Yard Backstroke (58.95), and 500 Yard Backstroke (5:20.61) to compile 27 points on Colgate’s leaderboard. Hofer captured gold in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (30.64) and 100 Breaststroke (1:08.38). 

Sundin continued to shine on the diving board, placing first in both the 1-Meter and 3-Meter Dives. She scored a personal-best 258.68 on the 1-Meter to beat her second-place competitor by more than 20 points and finish seven points away from qualifying for zones.

On the 3-Meter, Sundin earned a score of 264.98, edging teammate Kate Hoover who finished second with a score of 233.40. Both scores were personal-bests in the 3-Meter.

Colgate’s mixed 200 Free Relay team of Will Hill, Jack Schurtz-Ford, Art, and Brooke Garretson also took first place in the final event of the meet.

HAMILTON – Deacon Mascarinas won three individual events to help lead the Colgate men’s swimming and diving team to a 137-94 victory over Hamilton in the final meet of the first semester Friday evening inside Lineberry Natatorium. The win secured a dominant sweep for Colgate swimming and diving as the women’s team came away with a 163-84 triumph. 

Mascarinas captured three victories, Peyton Wray came away with two individual golds, while Michael GraninWill Hill, and JD Suarez each grabbed one win to give Colgate eight total triumphs.

Mascarinas continued his impressive first-year campaign with victories in the 50 Yard Breaststroke (26.65), 100 Yard IM (51.98), and 100 Yard Breaststroke (58.71). His three victories matched MG King on the women’s side for a team-best nine points earned in the meet. 

Wray dominated the backstrokes with victories in the 50-Yard Backstroke (24.56) and 100-Yard Backstroke (52.70). His time in the 50-yard Back clocked in just under a second faster than teammate Jack Schurtz-Ford who earned a second-place finish in the event. 

First-years Granin and Hill found success with first-place finishes in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:43.97) and 50 Yard Butterfly (23.57), respectively. Hill’s first-place time in the 50 Butterfly slightly edged Granin, who placed second with a time of 23.80.

Suarez captured first place in the 50 Yard Butterfly with a time of 51.42. He paced the field full of Raiders atop the leaderboard, as Matt Freund and Scott Pejic finished second and third, respectively. Zack Berner took second in the 1-Meter Dive with a personal-best score of 134.18.

The Mixed 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Hill, Schurtz-Ford, Lucy Art, and Brooke Garretson brought home gold with a time of 1:31.04 in the final event of the evening.

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Hamilton College women’s swimming and diving team accounted for four event victories in a dual meet against Division I Colgate University inside Colgate’s Lineberry Natatorium on Friday, Dec. 13.

Paige Wielgus ’28 and Chloe Lan ’28 were part of a mixed 200-yard medley relay that took the top spot. Wielgus was a winner in the 50 backstroke and Lan captured first place in the 50 freestyle.

Grace Hricay ’28 collected the other victory in the 100 free. The Continentals boasted three of the top four finishers in the 500 free.

Hamilton will take a break for finals and the holidays before it returns to the pool with a dual meet at Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m.

HAMILTON, N.Y. – The Hamilton College men’s swimming and diving team accounted for six event victories in a dual meet against Division I Colgate University inside Colgate’s Lineberry Natatorium on Friday, Dec. 13.

Matthew Hake ’26 and Nathaniel Taft ’27 were part of a mixed 200-yard medley relay that took the top spot. Taft also captured first place in the 50 and 100 freestyle.

Luke Engel ’25 triumphed in the 500 free, less than a second in front of teammate Loui Chambon ’28Alexander Pitts ’28 swept the two diving events.

Hamilton will take a break for finals and the holidays before it returns to the pool with a dual meet at Rochester Institute of Technology on Saturday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m.
