Dr. Anya Saini aur unki bahen, wildlife biologist Nima Manjrekar ne Bhopal me 20th Masters’ National Swimming Championship me Mysuru ko represent kiya.
61 saal ki paediatrician Dr. Anya Saini ne 60-64 years category me compete karte huye 4 gold medals secure kiye. Unki jeet 50m aur 100m breaststroke events ke saath-saath 200m aur 400m freestyle competitions me hui.
Unki 58 saal ki bahen Nima Manjrekar, jo wildlife biology and theatre me kaam karti hain, ne 55-59 years ki category me 3 medals secure kiye.
Unhone 50m aur 100m breaststroke me gold medal and 50m freestyle me silver medal jeeta.
Bahne daily swimming ki ak consistent routine ko follow karti hai. Unki swimming journey unke early years me hi start ho gayi thi, aur unhone professional commitments ki demand ke baawjood apna practice continue rakha.
Masters’ Swimming Championships me regularly participate karne wali Saini ne kaha, “Hum har din aadhe ghante swimming ki practice karte hain.” Nima ne kaha ki unhone bachpan me hi swimming start kar di thi aur school, college, Dashahra and other events me different competitions me participate karti thi.
Unhone kaha, “State ke other cities se bhi kai master swimmers ne championship me participate kiya.”
