WATCH: Matt King Swims 19.2 50 Free in a BRIEF at end of Practice

On Monday afternoon at the end of a power workout, US Olympian Matt King dove a 50 free in a brief, clocking a 19.2. Anytime a video is posted with a practice time, many feel the need to state what they timed the swim at.

I realize a lot of people on the site automatically know what it means to swim 19.2s in a brief, but it would be great if writers could get into the habit of providing at least a sentence or two of context with a post like this. Don’t get me wrong; I’m really glad it’s here, but a bit of education would go a long way.

Ian Hong is doing that 4 times in a practice according to Sergio Lopez. Why isn’t that news?

I had 19.35 and 19.36 on consecutive views. I could see a world where the coach says 19.2

I got 19.33 on the dot twice in a row so I’m pretty confident it’s gotta be close to that. 19.2 is very reasonable
