Fluidra Race Video Of The Week: Dressel Heads To Paris To Defend His 100 Butterfly Gold

7-time Olympic gold medalist, Caeleb Dressel will defend his 100 butterfly Olympic gold in Paris.

Caeleb Dressel 24 hours after winning the 50 freestyle and punching his ticket for his first individual Olympic event, Dressel added the 100 butterfly to his Paris schedule.

Over the Pro Swim Series season, Dressel proved his second 50-power, but that was not how the race to make the U.S. Olympic team unfolded. At the 50,  Dressel was in control. He hit the 50 wall first in 23.53.  Coming home, Dressel split 26.66, winning in 50.19.

17-year-old Thomas Heilman — who had already become the youngest male to make the Olympic swimming team since 2000 earlier in the week after winning the 200 fly — touched second in 50.80   In Paris it will be the Team USA leader and elder, Dressel, with the next generation star, Heilman, facing off with the top talent in the world in one of the most competitive events on the Olympic swimming schedule.
