6 Indian Women Swimmers Jinhone India Ko Olympics Me Kiya Represent

1948 se hi Indian swimmers Olympic mei participate kar rahe hai. Ab tak total 28 swimmers ko privilege mil chukka hai India ko Summer Games mei represent karne ka isme Tokyo Olympics 2020 bhi include hai. In 28 swimmers mei se 6 women hai.

Female swimmers ne India ko 1952 se Summer Games mei represent karna start kiya. Maana Patel ne Tokyo Olympics mei qualify kar ke seventh female Indian swimmer bann gai hai last seven decade mei.

  1. Dolly Nazir:

Dolly Nazir first Indian female swimmer thi jinhone Olympics ke liye qualify kiya tha. Unhone 1952 Summer Games mei huye women’s 100m freestyle aur 200m breaststroke mei compete kiya tha.

Dolly Nazir ne heat 2 mei 1:24.60 ki timing ke saath 7th place par finish kiya tha but qualify karne mei fail rahi. 200m breaststroke heats mei, unhone finish karne mei 3:37.90 ka time liye aur overall 32nd place par rahi.

Dolly Nazir 100m backstroke mei women’s national record holder bhi thi.

Arati Saha bhi un swimmers mei se hai jinhone 1952 Olympics mei Dolly Nazir ke saath India ko represent kiya hua hai. Unhone women’s 200m breaststroke mei compete kiya tha aur heats mei 3:40.80 ki timing ke saath 33rd position par finish kiya. 12 ki age mei Arati youngest swimmer bani thi India ko Olympics mei represent karne wali.

2000 Summer Games se pahle, Nisha Millet ne 1998 Asian Games aur 1999 World Championships mei participate kiya tha. Wo pahli Indian athlete bani jinhone 1999 National Games mei 14 Gold medals jeeta tha.

Nisha Millet ne 2004 Athens Olympics mei qualify na kar paane ki wajah se competitive swimming se retirement le li.

  1. Shikha Tandon:

Shikha Tandon hi ek aisi Indian swimmer hai jinhone India ko 2004 Athens Olympics mei represent kiya hai. Shikha ne women’s 50m freestyle aur 100m freestyle mei compete kiya hai.

Shikha Tandon ne women’s 50m freestle aur 100m freestyle mei National record hold kiya hua hai.

05: Shivani Kataria:

2004 Athens Games ke baad se Shivani Kataria first Indian female swimmer bani Olympics mei participate karne wali. Unhone 2016 Rio Olympics mei women’s 200m freestyle mei compete kiya tha. Shivani ne overall 41st position par finish kiya 2:09.30 ki timing ke saath heats mei aur is wajah se wo semifinals mei qualify nhi kar paai thi.

Shivani Kataria ka International breakthrough 2016 mei aaya jab unhone South Asian Games mei gold medal jeeta.

06: Maana Patel:

Maana Patel Indian history ke swimming mei 7th female swimmer bann gai hai jinhone Olympics mei participate kiya hai. Wo women’s 100m backstroke mei feature hongi Tokyo Olympics 2020 mei. Maana Patel ne apni Olympic berth University quota ke through secure ki hai.

Maana Patel ko fame tab mili jab unhone Kathmandu, Nepal mei huye 2016 South Asian Games mei 2 gold, 3 silver aur 1 bronze medal jeeta tha. Bangalore mei hui Asian Age Group Championships mei unhone six medals jeeta.
