Club Wolverine held an instrasquad meet at the University of Michigan’s Canham Natatorium last weekend, resulting in a few new Olympic Trials cuts. Jared Daigle, a Michigan swimmer, picked up a pair of new Trials cuts. Daigle swam a 2:01.75 200 IM, marking a huge new personal best and coming in well under the Wave II standard of 2:03.02. He also posted a 2:02.49 in the 200 backstroke, picking up a new Wave I cut.

Michigan swimmer Eric Storms also posted a handful of lifetime bests. Storms clocked a 23.85 in the men’s 50 free, establishing a new personal best. He also swam a 55.21 in the 100 fly and 1:04.34 in the 100 breast, both of which are lifetime bests.

Jack McCurdy swam a personal best in the 100 breast, touching in 1:03.36. The swim was just narrowly off the Wave I standard of 1:03.29, but was a best time nonetheless.
