Westchester 10&U Add Long Course Relay Record

Last week, at a swim clinic featuring Mark Gangloff and Kristy Kowal, the 10 & under boys from the Westchester Aquatic Club in New York broke the 200 yard free relay National Age Group Record.

This week, at the Metro LSC Junior Olympics, the Wolverines were at it again and got the long course record. 2:02.52 Nick Torres (30.66), Brendan Lee (31.33), Yugo Tsukikawa (30.76),  and Ryan Maierle (29.77) combined to touch in 2:02.52. That took down a record that had stood since 1984, by the boys of Arden Hills in 2:02.73.

The team members for the old mark were Jeremy Szymanowski, Jason Kawakami, Jeffrey Piland, and Kent Johnson.

The Westchester relay was in very good position, when Maierle again had an outstanding anchor swim of under 30 seconds to run-down this record.
