With one of three stops down on the 2016 Mare Nostrum Tour, Katinka Hosszu and Chad le Clos lead the money lists.
Hosszu leads all swimmers with €1,830, more than 1000 more than second-place Jinq-En Phee. Hosszu won 5 events in Monaco along with one silver medal.
Le Clos has pulled in €1,440, leading Andriy Govorov by just over 200. The South African won 2 events, took second in one and broke a meet/tour record.
Mare Nostrum – Monaco Prize Money System
The Monaco/Monte Carlo stop of the Mare Nostrum Tour gives out prize money for top 3 finishes in most events, and semifinal appearances in the 8-step speed tournaments, of which there are one per stroke. The speed tournament starts with a full field in heats, cuts to 16 for the 8th-finals, 8 for the quarterfinals, 4 for the semifinals and 2 for the final.
Events 100m and Up:
- 1st: €330
- 2nd: €180
- 3rd: €90
Speed Tournament (50s of each stroke):
- 1st: €600
- 2nd: €300
- 3rd: €75
- 4th: €75
Bonuses:
- World Record: €15000
- European Record: €3000
- Meet Record Monaco: €600

Mare Nostrum Tour – Overall Bonuses
The tour will give out bonuses to the top 4 men and women overall. The finish order is determined by adding up each swimmer’s best swim in FINA points at each of the tour’s three stops. The swimmer whose 3 races combine to the highest total win the tour.
Series Prize Bonuses:
- 1st: €7000
- 2nd: €2000
- 3rd: €1000
- 4th: €500

Therese Alshammar haven´t done the swedish qualifying time in the 50 free (24.71). So no, unless she makes some big improvements in the next few days she won´t be going to Rio.
