NC State to Open 2015-16 Season at All-NC Invitational

RALEIGH, N.C.- The NC State swimming and diving team will open its 2015-16 regular season this weekend at the fourth-annual All-North Carolina Invitational inside Greensboro Aquatic Center.

The two-day competition is slated to begin Friday in Greensboro, N.C., at 4:30 p.m., and continue Saturday at 10:00 a.m.

Scouting the Pack

The Pack is coming off one of the most memorable seasons in the program’s history. The men’s team won its 25th ACC Championship title and earned an eighth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, while the women finished 17th at the national level. This marked back-to-back top 20 finishes at NCAAs for both teams- a first in program history.

NC State returns a combined total of 17 All-Americans and 13 ACC Champions. The men’s squad returns nine All-Americans and seven ACC Champions, while seven All-Americans and six ACC Champions return on the women’s side.

Participating Teams

A total of 11 teams will compete in the invitational with NC State, including Campbell, Catawba, Davidson, East Carolina, Gardner-Webb, NC A&T, Queens, St. Andrews, UNC-Asheville and Warren Wilson College.

Last Year at the All-NC Invitational

Last season marked the program’s third-straight victory at the annual meet. Looking to continue its excellence at the competition this year, the Pack swept last year’s eight relays, all four diving events and 20 of the 26 events contested.

Admission for the event is free, but parking at the Greensboro Aquatic Center will be $5 per day. Live results will be available via the Meet Mobile app available for iPhone or Android.
