Christian Brothers Academy has proved itself to be a New Jersey powerhouse over the past decade. After going flawless last season with big meets against New Jersey Public A champs (Westfield) and national power houses Lasalle and Peddie, CBA continues to prove itself as a powerhouse on the jersey shore.

The team has been built on hard work in the pool since the program had its opening season 25 years ago. On Thursday December 4th, against Middletown South, CBA won its 200 consecutive duel meet in the Shore Conference. The victory marks 25 years of hard work, dedication, and nonstop winning in the SC since the start.

“This victory symbolizes all of the hard work and dedication from every past swimmer who has competed for CBA,” said head coach Vito Chiaravalloti.

The alumni achievements and power of current teams have helped to bring the program to where it is now. The boys on the team all know that they have a tradition to uphold and a school to represent, which is great attribute to have on any type of sports team. This year will also mark many accomplishments made by the program. CBA is projected to win its 25th straight Shore Conference victory this year, which will be a land mark for HS swimming in the state of New Jersey. Also, The team is expected to win its sixth consecutive Non-Public A State Championship title. This opportunity will not come easily to them as they face strong competitors such as St. Augustine and Bergen Catholic. CBA is definitely the team to follow and watch throughout the HS swim season.
