Rockwood Swim Club’s Sam Marlow Gives Verbal Pledge to UND

Sam Marlow, from Saint Louis, Missouri, has made a verbal commitment to the University of North Dakota for the 2015-16 season.

Marlow, a senior at Marquette High School, won the consolation finals in both the 100 back and 200 IM at the 2014 MSHSAA Boys State Championships. In the IM, he was in fourth place after the breaststroke but outsplit the field and edged his next-closest finisher by .02. Marlow’s top times are:

100y back: 53.00               100m back: 1:00.88
200y back: 1:53.67            200m back: 2:08.32
200y IM: 1:57.27               200m IM: 2:15.04
400y IM: 4:08.29               400m IM: 4:40.34

Always lots of college swimmers coming out of Rockwood.

Also, those consols-winning times of 1:57.27 and 53.00 would look to be his actual best times at this point.
