Swim Job: Lakeside seeks Age Group Coach – Salary Range $35,000-45,000

JOB DESCRIPTION

Lakeside Aquatic Club Full Time – Site – Age Group Coach

RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Run/ Assist – 6-7 workouts per week for approximately 20 hours a week. Attends 1-2 swim meets a month.
2. Oversee athlete progression and coach mentor ship in all competitive groups at the site.
3. Assist coaching staff with administrative duties relating to the site or team as well as interactions with parents.

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 5 years competitive coaching with a minimum of 3 years leading high level age group swimmers.
2. Must be able to manage, train and keep engaged 20-25 swimmers in a group.
3. Effectively communicate swimmer goals and swimmer progression from the age group program to the National level program to parents and swimmers.
4. Must be able to foster an environment of excellence in swimming through drills, dryland, aerobic/ anaerobic training and racing.
5. Understands stroke development and advanced aerobic training for age group and senior swimmers.
6. Enthusiastic and motivated team player

COMPENSATION

Salary range – $35,000-45,000. It includes medical stipend, paid 3 week vacation, 401K, paid time off, and meet compensation. The coach will have a full membership to ASCA and will be compensated for travel to meets. Professional (certification) costs and continuing education are covered by the club.

Jason, would you explain to us how you would want one coach to coach at 5 different locations? I had one swimmer who won 2 gold medals for America at the Olympics. He went to SMU not to far from you.

Currently what time does practice start in the morning?

How many meets did the team go to last year?

Maybe it wasn’t clear in the title of the job description, but they are looking for one coach to coach at one specific site. They have coaches at the other 4 sites.
