Audrey Derivaux has announced she will reclassify and arrive at Texas this fall. Derivaux was the #1 ranked recruit in the girls high school class of 2027 and committed to the Longhorns last fall.
With her reclassification, the top 2 ranked recruits for 2027 have now reclassified to 2026 as Rylee Erisman reclassified from 2027 to 2026 and will arrive at Cal this fall. This allows both athletes to have two NCAA seasons before the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics.

- 400 IM: 4:01.83
- 200 IM: 1:53.87
- 200 back: 1:50.91
- 100 back: 52.61
- 200 fly: 1:52.70
- 100 fly: 51.73
The Texas women captured the 2026 SEC Championship and went on to finish 3rd at the 2026 NCAA Championships with 376.5 points, finishing just four behind Stanford’s 380.5 points. Campbell Stoll and Jillian Cox led the way as they each scored 37 individual points. Stanford graduated its top two individual scorers Torri Huske and Lucy Bell, giving the Longhorns a strong edge for second especially with Derivaux’s earlier than previously expected arrival.
Derivaux is a a game-changing addition for the upcoming season as her best time in the 400 IM would have been 6th, and her 200 back and 200 fly would have been 11th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. She will have the chance to train alongside Stoll who won the 200 fly in 1:50.26, was 12th in the 400 IM (4:04.99), and 7th in the 100 fly (50.61). Stoll enters her senior season this fall.
Also arriving this fall as members of the class of 2030 are top 20 ranked recruits Sydney Schoeck (#4, distance freestyle) and Mena Boardman (#6, sprint free/fly/back).
Derivaux has already represented the US at the international level on numerous occasions as she most recently swam at the AP Race International Meet in May. Last August, Derivaux swam to World Junior titles in the long course 200 butterfly (2:07.57) and 200 IM (2:10.58).
Never understood how this is possible academically – my senior year of high school wasn’t just a bunch of electives it was basically all required classes.
My guess is she took her remaining credits online over the summer. I did the same thing except the fall of my senior year. I only had like 4 required clases left

Also thank god the NCAA changed the meet schedule. Last year’s format would’ve done her a big disservice

That’s still very young. I had just turned 18 going into freshman year and I felt like a baby. She’s going to graduate college, if she finishes in 4 years, without being legally able to drink.
Not to the extent of her but I finished all my HS requirements online first semester at 17, took early college credit my spring semester so I technically finished my first semester of college before turning 18. However I waited til the following fall to begin college full time
She’s a year younger than most freshmen. Not a big deal. I couldn’t (legally) drink until my senior year. So what?
Idk, I feel like 18 as a freshman skews on the younger side. Lots of my friends turned 19 in August, September, October of their freshman years. She’s coming in as freshly 17. More power to her but it’s definitely gonna be interesting.
Most of my nuclear family started university a few months after turning 17. But we are in Australia.

Man what a walk down memory lane. Darmody had a killer freshman season and then kinda disappeared. Risolvato would just randomly appear too. Also funny to see Stumph’s name because IIRC he was part of that race where multiple guys broke the NHSA record in the 100 breast after it being stagnant for so long and it’s like 3 seconds faster than that now
