One week after her pivotal role in Team Redbird’s record-breaking sweep of five relay world records, Laura Val delivered another remarkable performance when she broke five individual Masters long course world records in a single weekend. Val lowered three of her own world records from one week earlier, reclaiming the 50-meter backstroke, 100-meter backstroke, and 100-meter freestyle marks with even faster performances. She also established two new world records in the 50-meter freestyle and 200-meter freestyle.
