2026 Napa Valley Swim Team Summer Plunge

It wasn’t one, but two big moves up the all-time boys’ 10 and under age group (LCM) rankings for Robert Legg.
At the Napa Valley Swim Team Summer Plunge, the 10-year-old Legg produced a personal best time of 2:13.20 in the 200 free, which moved him into 5th all-time in the boys’ 10 and under group and 1st this season.
The time was more than five seconds ahead of his previous personal best time of 2:18.93, set on June 20 at the Alto Summer Swelter.
Not only that, but Legg clocked a personal best time of 4:37.57 in the 400 free, which moved him to 3rd all-time and 2nd this season in the boys’ 10 and under age group.
His previous personal best in the 400 free was 4:41.75 set back in May.
Swimming for the Pleasanton Seahawks, Legg also produced age group wins in the 800 free (9:28.81), the 50 breast (42.74) and the 100 breast (1:30.35).
Other individual standouts at the meet were:
- On the girls’ side, 9-year-old Iris Liu won seven events in her age group, most notably claiming the 100 fly in a personal best time of 1:20.87. Liu also captured the 100 free (1:13.50), 100 back (1:22.16), 50 breast (39.13), 100 breast (1:30.93), 50 fly (34.89) and the 200 IM (2:51.71).
- Also in the girls’ competition, 11-year-old Jessie Palattao produced a personal best time of 40.09 to win the 50 breast in her age group, and also won the 50 free in a time of 30.73.
- Jason Korajkic, an 11-year-old in the boys’ competition representing the Walnut Creek Aquabears, produced personal best times in five events, doing so in the 200 free (2:26.39), 50 back (35.73), 100 back (1:19.54), 50 breast (43.87) and the 50 fly (36.67).
