Finals Heat Sheet
The 2026 Bell Canadian Trials have kicked off, and we’ve already wrapped up the first session. Opening day featured the 200 free, 100 back, and 200 fly and resulted in just one scratch for tonight’s finals: Aiden Kirk has opted out of the 200 fly due to his status as the top seed in the 800 free.
Andrew Ploof (200 fly), Charles Gould (100 Back), Lexi Stephens (100 Back), and Sylvia Statkevičius (200 Free) all placed within the top 10 this morning but will swim in the B-final instead as they do not represent Canada on the international level.

Statkevicius is in the B final
The pic caption states that “Statkevicius has opted not to swim” the 200. It was never an option. She represents Lithuania and Swimming Canada limits A finals to Canadian swimmers at this meet.
