ESPN is set to release a documentary focused on the Enhanced Games, looking into what happens when athletes are allowed to take performance enhancing drugs (PEDs). The E60 documentary titled “Fear and Doping in Las Vegas” will make its debut Thursday, July 2, at 9 p.m. ET on ESPN, streaming afterward on the ESPN App.
E60 followed several athletes when they were at training camp in Abu Dhabi all the way up through the Enhanced Games competition that took place last month in Las Vegas. Among those athletes include swimmers Cody Miller and Andrii Govorov. Other athletes include track sprinters Shania Collins and Marvin Bracy-Williams as well as Canadian weightlifter Boady Santavy.
The documentary looks into the question, “what happens when human performance is pushed beyond its natural limits?” ESPN’s Dan Murphy interviewed Enhanced CEO Max Martin, biotech giant Christian Angermayer, as well as experts who have spent their careers fighting against doping.

Swimmer Hunter Armstrong also appears in the trailer. Armstrong joined the Enhanced Games in March and competed at the inaugural Enhanced Games as a clean athlete. Armstrong won the 50 back and was 2nd in the 100 free, earning a total of $375,000. He was drug tested by USADA right after racing.
Only one Enhanced World Record was set in Las Vegas as Kristian Gkolomeev touched in a 20.81 in the men’s 50 freestyle to earn the $1 million Enhanced World Record bonus.

Enhanced Group trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker ENHA. The stock closed at $2.81 today, June 29th, a 71% drop from the closing price of $9.70 the day it went public on May 8th. Two weeks ago, Enhanced Group raised $50 million in private investment in public equity financing. The transaction was led by Apeiron Investment Group.
