After six hours of enhanced action, it wasn’t until the final event of the day that fans inside the custom-built Enhanced Games Competition Complex inside Resorts World in Las Vegas got to see a World Record be bested. That honor went to Greek sprinter Kristian Gkolomeev, who unleashed a 20.81 not only to win, earning him $250,000, but also to swim faster than the current 20.88 World Record held by Australia’s Cam McEvoy, earning an additional $1 million as a bonus.

Gkolomeev had raced earlier in the day, competing in the 100 free, where he nearly broke Pan Zhanle‘s 46.40 World Record, letting off the gas late, still earning a dominant victory in 46.60. In total on the day, Gkolomeev made $1.5 million in earnings between his two races, making him the only man to crack the $1 million mark at this edition of the games.

Entering this meet, the broadcast referenced Gkolomeev as the Enhanced Games’ version of the ‘million dollar man’, a title given to him after her first undercut Cesar Cielo‘s 20.91 World Record almost exactly a year to the day (May 21, 2025) at an Enhanced Games Showcase, swimming 20.89 as an enhanced athlete, earning him a $1 million bonus for that feat. He has now brought in $2.5 million through his Enhanced Games career.

Before that swim, the rest of the action, both in and out of the water, had left fans wanting more, as the Enhanced Games had built up the excitement for this event with World Record bonuses and multiple record-breaking performances predicted by coaches and founders alike.

Though the record is not counted for the obvious reasons of enhancements and the use of a supersuit, the focus now returns to McEvoy, who set the clean and legitimate World Record at the China Open in March. McEvoy quickly took to his Instagram and posted a pair of memes signaling that he was ready to reclaim his spot atop the mountain as the fastest performer ever, even without the enhancements.

If anything, this should get olympics to allow supersuits again
I really dont understand why they were banned in the first place. Lets see what our best people can do in the best suits available

The fact they are calling it a “world record” in the announcing or saying it undercut the world record is f***ing crazy.

They could barely beat McEvoy roided out and wearing wetsuits.

This is the tech world trying to continue to write the narrative of our society with their absolute disdain of humanity and the human body as is. All while using it to shill products (supplements) people won’t need and will do harm to them.

F**k these people.

Because people are legitimately interested in it. More so from a “Car crash/dumpster fire” perspective

I don’t think what SwimSwam does with it will have much of an impact on the organization itself. But we can at least talk about how much it sucks

what entertainment though? A normal PSS event has better level of the results and better presentation of info with lanes names and times. This was so cheap

It is pretty wild that most of them can’t even win when cheating

Hope it’s worth sacrificing your healthy and your families happiness in the future after you drop dead from an enlarged heart or something.
