Correctly picking a swimmer to place earns:

  • 1st – 7 points
  • 2nd – 5 points
  • 3rd – 4 points
  • 4th – 3 points

Correctly picking a swimmer to place in the top 4, but putting them in the wrong spot, will earn you 1 point.

We are two days into the 2026 Men’s NCAA Division I Swimming and Diving Championships, and we have already seen four new National Records, two of which came from Josh Liendo in the men’s 100 butterfly.

There were a few major swims on night two along with a few major upsets. In the pick’ems, user “TJ swims” had the highest score with 65 total points. They correctly predicted the 1st and 4th place positions in the 100 fly; the 1st, 2nd, and 4th finishes in the 400 IM; the 1st and 2nd finishers in the 200 free; the 2nd place finisher in the 100 breast; and the top three in the 200 freestyle relay.

TJ swims was one of just 22 entrants to correctly choose Maximus Williamson to win the men’s 200 freestyle. The whole men’s 200 freestyle top-four threw some big wrenches in most people’s pick’ems with none of the finishers having more than 60 votes for their spot.

There were 22 people who chose Williamson to win, 53 who chose Koby Bujak-Upton for 2nd, 44 who chose Henry McFadden to finish 3rd, and only six wh picked Ohio State senior Tomas Navikonis to finish 4th. Nobody guessed the whole podium.

Some of the events were easier. 287 of 313 entrants correctly chose Florida’s Josh Liendo to win the 100 fly, though nobody chose Texas senior Hubert Kos to finish 2nd overall. Only three people thought Ilya Kharun would finish 3rd (with most people thinking he would take 1st or 2nd), and 83 chose Thomas Heilman to finish 4th.

Less than 50 people correctly chose Tristan Jankovics to finish 3rd in the 400 IM, while 111 predicted Rex Maurer‘s event win.

Finally, only 11 entrants chose Yamato Okadome to win the 100 breaststroke, with bronze medalist Nate Germonprez being the overwhelming favorite with 288 votes. Only four people correctly predicted his 3rd place finish.

The only truly predictable event of the evening was the 200 freestyle relay. 306 entrants correctly chose ASU to take the top time. 198 chose Florida to finish 2nd. 152 chose NC State to touch 3rd. Only the 4th place finish was difficult to guess with just 32 people choosing either Texas or Tennessee to earn that swim (both answers received points).
