The 2026 Grand Prix Pardubice wrapped up tonight from the Czech Republic with a few notable performances worth mentioning as we’re entering the home stretch of qualificatoin for this year’s European Championships.
Barbora Janickova put up an impressive result en route to winning the women’s 100m freestyle, getting to the wall in a time of 54.16.
The 26-year-old Olympian opened in 26.18 and brought it home in 27.98 to beat her peers by nearly four solid seconds.
Charlene Daniela Crhova secured the silver medal position in 58.04, while Karolina Svobodova rounded out the podium in 58.23.
As for Janickova, her time checked in as the 3rd-fastest performance of her career, one which boasts a lifetime best of 53.60 from placing 9th at last year’s World Championships.
The 26-year-old now ranks just outisde the list of top 25 performers in the world on the season.
The women’s 50m breast saw Anna Plihalova reap gold in a time of 31.92, the sole outing of the final under the 32-second barrier.
Britta Koehorst was next to the wall in 32.39, while Rozalie Cejpkova bagged the bronze in 32.65.
Just one woman dipped under the 1:00 barrier in the 100m fly, with Anastasia Mikhalevich getting it done for gold in 59.98 for Ukraine.
That checked in as the first-ever time under the minute threshold for her, with her previous lifeime best sitting at the 1:00.04 logged just earlier this month.

- Ondrej Slavik was near his best-ever en route to winning the men’s 50m free. Slavik registered a mark of 22.78 for gold, just off his PB of 22.72 notched nearly 2 years ago. Patrik Zemek joined him under the 23-second barrier in 22.81 for silver, as Tobias Kern turned a time of 23.14 for bronze.
- Slavik also topped the men’s 50m fly podium in a mark of 23.56, his first-ever foray under the 24-second threshold in the event.
- The men’s 50m back saw Jakob Krischke deliver an outing of 25.21 to dominate the field by over half a second.
- Filip Suler was the top men’s 100m back performer, hitting 56.85 for gold.
- Daryna Nabojchenko proved too quick to catch in the women’s 50m fly, touching in 26.27 as one of two competitors to clear the 27-second barrier. Joining her was Janickova who touchd in 26.33, with Katerina Burianova posting 27.50 for the bronze medal.
