Age group results at the 2025 GA SwimAtlanta Last Chance Meet included some incredible swims from SwimAtlanta athletes and Georgia Swimming LSC records.
Headlined by 12-year-old Parker Wheeler of SwimAtlanta, who is the first ever swimmer to win 10 events at the NCSA Age Group Championship, touched first in the 50 butterfly in a time of 27.48, marking a new Georgia Swimming LSC record, and tying Ryan Murphy’s time from 2008 for the 14th-fastest American 11-12 50 fly performer in history.
Wheeler’s Georgia Swimming LSC record time of 27.48 was faster than the previous record of 27.49 held for 16 years by Seth Beer, who set the mark in 2009. Wheeler lowered his previous best of 27.66 from this year, which he set in May.
The 12-year-old also posted a new best time in the 200 IM in 2:22.90, a nearly two-second improvement on the 2:24.02 he swam in May.
Other Standout Swims:
- In the 50 back, Wheeler would touch 1st in a time of 30.23. SwimAtlanta teammate, 12-year-old Jeshurun Woo, touched in 31.19, a personal best that lowered Woo’s previous best time in the event of 32.88 that he swam in May. The two 12-year-olds would ultimately secure the top two marks across all age groups for the event at the meet.
- 16-year-old Kohlston Katz of Swim Atlanta put together a strong swim in the 200 backstroke, touching 1st with a 2:07.27. Katz’s time was a significant personal best, improving on his previous best time in the event of 2:14.56 from June 2024 by more than seven seconds.
- Ben Lisbon, 15, rounded out SwimAtlanta’s big meet with wins in the two breaststroke events, with times of 1:10.32 in the 100 breast and 2:30.38 in the 200 breast.
