World Aquatics ne announce kiya hai ki World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) –1 December se 6 December 2026 tak Beijing 2026, Chinese capital me organise kiya jayega.
China Swimming Association aur Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports ke cooperation se organized iss championship me 200+ countries aur regions se aane wale 1,000 se jada elite athletes 6 days ke iss short-course swimming me compete karenge.
Ye fourth time hai jab China Championships host karega, isse pahle Hong Kong (1999), Shanghai (2006) aur Hangzhou (2018) me championship organize kiya gaya tha.
World Aquatics ke President Husain Al Musallam ne kaha, “World Aquatics ko khushi hai ki wo Beijing me World Aquatics Swimming Championships (25m) ke liye wapas aa rahe hain.”
President ne kaha, “Ab jab competition 1-6 December 2026 ke liye confirm ho gaya hai aur 2024 ke brilliant last edition ke baad, hum confident hain ki duniya ke best swimmers short-course racing ka ak aur extraordinary display ak world-class sporting city me dikhayenge.”
Short course worlds ka last edition 2024 me Budapest me hua tha, jahan 195 countries aur regions se total 985 athletes ne 45 medal events me participate kiya. Is dauran 30 world records, 13 world junior records, 46 championship records aur 63 continental records break kiye gaye the.
