Irvine, CA – February 8 – USA Water Polo is pleased to announce the addition of Max Irving and Lolo Silver to the USA Water Polo Board of Directors as athlete members. The two are no strangers to Team USA having capped up for the National Team at international events around the globe. Irving is fresh off an appearance in his first Olympic Games in Tokyo last summer, while Silver retired in 2014 following a five year run with Team USA that included a World Cup crown among other accolades.

“It is with great pleasure that we welcome Max Irving and Lolo Van Der Linde (Silver) to the USA Water Polo Board of Directors, as Athlete Members. They will offer valuable insights on how to best support our USA National Teams and grow water polo across the United States,” said Bill Smith, USA Water Polo Board Chairman.

Tokyo Olympian Max Irving has been a key piece of the USA Water Polo Men’s National Team since 2017, helping the squad earn gold at the 2019 Pan American Games and silver at the 2021 FINA World League Super Final.
