Update: Jessica Hardy Awaiting Decision on Extending Suspension

We reported earlier this week that last Friday (March 12th) was the day that the World Anti-Doping Agency’s (WADA) appeal would be heard by the Court for Arbitration of Sport (CAS) in the Jessica Hardy case.

If you’re interested in reading the full back story, see the original article, but the gist of it is that Hardy’s suspension was reduced from 2-years to 1 year on original arbitration in 2009, which the WADA is now challenging. They are trying to get the suspension knocked back to 2 years and to have her banned from the 2012 Olympics as well.
Now that the trial has come and gone, very little info has been released, but late last night we got an update from Hardy herself via her twitter feed. Her tweet (seen in the picture above) doesn’t give many details for how the case went, but did give us a time line of 30-45 days for the CAS’s decision.
