Victoria Huske broke Katie Drabot’s NCSA 50 fly record on day 1 of the Championships in Indianapolis.
15-year-old Paige McKenna won the women’s 400 free, posting a 4:17.59. That time marked McKenna’s first sub-4:20 performance ever, and marked a nearly 6 second time drop fro her previous best of 4:23.07.
Huske posted a quick 2:18.85, marking a drop from her previous best of 2:20.04, and the first time she’s broken 2:20.
Tonight’s final features the 100 back, women’s 500 free, men’s 100 free, 200 breast, and 100 fly.
The first night of NCSAs featured the 1000 free, 100 IM, and 800 free relay.
Just a freshman, Huske has positioned herself within .2 seconds of Hu’s records in both the 50 free and 100 fly.
