Michael Jensen is a sprint freestyle and butterfly specialist from Upper Dublin, Pennsylvania. University of California, Berkeley Jensen decided to move across the country to swim under Dave Durden at the University of California. He joined the Bears as one of the top recruits in the nation and looked to make an immediate impact in the sprint freestyle and butterfly events. 2019 Jensen closed his junior season as a member of the NCAA champion 200 free relay, the third place 400 free relay and the seventh place 400 medley relay team. Individually, he finished ninth in the 50 free (19.15) and 21st in the 100 free (42.32). Jensen swam the third leg of the Pac-12 champion 200 free relay and the anchor leg of the title-winning 400 medley relay. Individually, he finished third in the 50 free (19.30), 13th in the 100 fly (47.37) at the conference meet. 2018 Jensen was a part of third place 200 free relay, third place 400 free relay and sixth place 800 free relay teams at the NCAA Championships.
