Former coach David Kuck is suing Canyons, saying he was fired for reporting abuse by coach Jeremy Anderson, who was later banned by the Center for SafeSport.
Jeremy Anderson, who died last month, has been removed from the SafeSport database. Meanwhile an 18-year-old athlete has been added with interim restrictions.
Anderson was being investigated on charges of sexual assault and solicitation and possession of child pornography.
The new policies, which USA Swimming says are designed to put their reporting more in line with the US Center for Safe Sport, will see coaches added to the public banned lists earlier in the process.
Steven Lochte, father of Olympian Ryan Lochte, is among 8 names listed with interim suspensions in the U.S. Center for SafeSport database.
Coach Jeremy Anderson of Canyons Aquatic Club, host club of the 2014 Open Water Nationals, talked with SwimSwam about running this meet two years in a row, and about the growth of open water swimming among age group swimmers.
