Selby, Dobbs trade 50 free record as Baylor men, Harpeth Hall women lead Tennessee High School State after day 1
The first day of Tennessee high school swimming’s two-day state championship meet saw a number of state records go down, including the boys 50 free to two different swimmers between prelims and finals.
Auburn commit and Baylor senior Christian Selby broke a state record in the 50 freestyle with his time of 20.41 to lead the way in the prelims. The time bettered former Baylor swimmer and current Alabama swimmer Luke Kaliszak’s time of 20.43 from last year.
“We’re really excited for another talented group of student-athletes to join our program,” head coach Brett Hawke said. “All 11 of these exceptional young men and women will make outstanding additions to our team… “

Baylor boys sweep swimming events on day 2 of Tennessee high school state, Harpeth Hall girls win team title
The Baylor School boys swept every swimming race on the second day of competition, breaking 4 state records in the process. Harpeth Hall triumphed for the ladies, using tremendous depth to pull off the team win.
