Sycamores to Compete in Indiana Intercollegiate Meet

Terre Haute, Ind.—Indiana State will travel to West Lafayette, Ind. to compete at the Indiana Intercollegiate Meet on Oct. 22 at 12:00 p.m.

This meet will be held at Purdue University and eight universities from the state of Indiana will be participating. These universities include Purdue, Ball State, DePauw, Evansville, Rose-Hulman, Valparaiso, Indiana State, and Wabash (Men).

ISU will get their first look at Missouri Valley Conference opponent Evansville.
The Sycamores opened their first official season of competition by competing at the Dennis Stark Relays on Oct. 7 in South Bend, Ind. Indiana State scored a 44 overall and defeated MVC opponent Illinois State in a few events.
Following the relay meet ISU faced off with Notre Dame in a dual meet on Oct. 8. The Sycamores fell to the Fighting Irish by a score of 179-81 but still posted an impressive performance.

Two members of the Indiana State squad set school records in the meet. Alex Malmborg set four new school records in the 200 Medley Relay (1:52.78), 50 Free (24.89), 100 Free (55.10), and 200 Free Relay (1:40.44). Jacquie Price added three more records in the 200 Free (1:59.42), 100 Fly (59.47), and in the 200 Free Relay (1:40.44).
