Somerset Valley YMCA Goes Pro at the 2014 YMCA Long Course National Championships

One of the great things about the YMCA National Championship meets is that, while they are very big meets and do have time standards, those standards are slow enough that entire teams get to come to the meet and experience it together.

That’s the draw that takes teams away from other National Championship meets, much as it did a few weeks ago when the YMCA Long Course National Championship meet in Indianapolis, Indiana was held the same week as the USA Swimming Junior National Championships.

The Somerset Valley YMCA chose in favor of Indy this year, and team member Ryan Morgan documented and edited the above video using his Go Pro.

The New Jersey-based squad’s boys’ and girls’ teams both placed 6th at this year’s meet, and in combination they were 4th overall.
