CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Queens swimming program closed out the 2025 Kellianne Nagy Fall Frenzy on Sunday night with two final-session podium finishes and a sweep of the closing relays, securing a third-place team finish on the women’s side and the overall team title on the men’s side. By meet’s end, the Queens women totaled 1,305 points, while the men pulled away for the finish with 1,815.
The evening opened with a standout performance from Sarah Leonie Tenzer, who delivered one of Queens’ most composed distance swims of the weekend in the women’s 1650 freestyle. Tenzer controlled the race from the opening 200 and never relinquished the lead, holding steady through the middle 1000 before powering home to win in 16:43.59. Her wire-to-wire victory marked Queens’ top women’s finish of the night and punctuated an impressive Fall Frenzy debut.
Abigail Zboran produced Queens’ second individual win of the night with a decisive victory in the 200 butterfly. Zboran pushed the pace early, touching first in 1:58.37 and delivering another strong championship-level swim.
Queens carried that momentum directly into the final relay session. The women’s 400 freestyle relay team of Maren Patterson, Abigail Zboran, Sabina Kupcova, and Leonie Tenzer powered to a first-place finish in 3:18.10, closing out the meet with a win and adding another top mark to the Royals’ women’s relay corps. The men followed with one of the highlight swims of the weekend as Daniel Meszaros, Stamatis Paleocrassas, Nien Levy, and Emil Harlem combined to win the 400 freestyle relay in 2:51.81. The performance shattered the previous Fall Frenzy meet record of 2:53.62, delivering Queens its final event title of the meet in commanding fashion.
Following the finals session, Queens Director of Swimming Jeff Dugdale said, “We had an amazing end to the meet with wins by both the men’s & women’s relays. The men broke the meet record by over a second. We now have a good idea of the adjustments that need to be made in our lead up to the ASUN Championships.”
