Bill Marlin, Head Coach, Potomac Marlins, and Barry Marlin, Team Manager, were both college swimmers and started this team to bring the joys of swimming to young people. “This meet is truly a special experience not only for the swimmers but for our athletes as well, ” said Coach Bill Marlin, who is also the current Chair of Potomac Valley Swimming. “The dedication of these amazing athletes inspires our team members to not only work towards their goals, but to give something back to swimming. The lessons they learn through volunteering help them become better swimmers and better people.”

Special Olympics athletes compete in freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly, and individual medley. This meet serves as a qualifier for the state meet later this year.
