Nine-time Australian Olympic medalist Kyle Chalmers and Norwegian swimmer Ingeborg Løyning have officially tied the knot in Chalmers’ hometown of Port Lincoln in South Australia on Saturday.
The couple signed their marriage certificate with four-month-old daughter, Astrid Olivia, who was born in August of 2025, front and center with the newlyweds.
The couple shared a collaborative Instagram post with the caption “♾️ 03.01.26”.
According to MSN, Løyning wore a traditional Norwegian dress for the wedding ceremony as they exchanged vows in Port Lincoln.
Chalmers and Løyning announced their engagement in June of 2024. Their Instagram announcement then also included a similar caption to that of their wedding day, reading “∞ 19.06.24”.
Chalmers has established himself as one of the most consistent sprinters in the sport. At the Paris Olympics in 2024, Chalmers finished with a silver in the 100m freestyle; he had previously won gold in 2016 and silver in 2020 in the event. Chalmers also played a crucial role in Australia’s 4x100m free relay silver in Paris.
Chalmers has also collected nine world championship gold medals across both short and long course. In his career, he has earned 48 international medals.
Løyning boasts a decorated career in the water in her own right. She is Norway’s long-course national record holder in the 50, 100, and 200 backstrokes. She was a 2020 Olympic qualifier, finishing 17th in the 200 back.

Congrats to them.
