Off The Deck: Interview With New Elite Canadian Coach Ben Titley

Mike Thompson, producer of the popular “Off The Deck” series of interviews and podcasts, has landed an exclusive conversation with Ben Titley, who has been brought in by Swimming Canada to lead their National Training Center in Toronto.

Toronto, to this point, hasn’t been able to develop the depth of talent that their West Coast countrymates in Vancouver have been, but there are a few strong pieces: including open water Olympian Zsofia Balazs. With Titley at the helm, though, Toronto could quickly become a new hotspot for Canadian swimmers.

That’s because he comes from leading a similarly-supported Loughborough Intensive Training Center in the UK that included at least 5 members of the British 2012 Olympic Team, with names like Fran Halsall, Liam Tancock, and Lizzie Simmonds on his resume.

Thanks to Mike Thompson for sharing his video with us. Like what you see? https://twitter.com/CoachMikeSwim.
