Bainbridge Island Swim Club (BISC), located outside of Seattle, Washington, announced Kyle Harris joined the swim team as Head Coach. Kyle was previously the Head Age Group Coach at Crimson Aquatics in Boston. Before his time at Crimson, Kyle was Head Coach with the Bozeman Barracudas and previously led swim programs at various levels since he started his coaching career in 2014. He will be replacing Carolyn Ackerley who is retiring after serving as BISC Head Coach for the past 20 years.

“I am thrilled to join BISC because the program emphasizes the importance of connection and commitment which are well aligned with my coaching philosophy,” said Kyle. “I am so fortunate to step into a strong program with a proven track record of developing swimmers at every level. I can’t wait to get started!”

Kyle has experience developing swimmers of all abilities from learn-to-swim, to regionals championships for age group swimmers, all the way to Futures and Junior National level athletes. Kyle is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) and is an American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 5 Educated Coach. Kyle takes an athlete-centered approach, creating an environment for athletes of all ages and abilities to both learn and enjoy the sport of swimming.
