Nate Goldfarb of Ohio State Swim Club Commits to Georgetown

Nate Goldfarb, a USA Swimming All-American from Gahanna, Ohio, has committed to swim at Georgetown University next year. Goldfarb is a senior at Columbus Academy; he also swims year-round with Ohio State Swim Club.

“I have selected to pursue my education at Georgetown University so I can reach my highest goals both in the classroom and in the pool.”

Goldfarb was runner-up in the 100 breast and took seventh in the 200 IM at the 2017 OHSAA Division II Swimming & Diving State Tournament. He also swam a leg on the second-place 4×100 free relay and was the breaststroker on the medley relay (that was DQd in finals).

Kyle Goodrich, head coach of Ohio State Swim Club, told SwimSwam, “Nate has always been very good in the 100 breast but his 200 breast, 200 IM, and backstroke events have vastly improved over the last year. I am really excited to see what he can do at Georgetown!”

His best SCY times are:

  • 50 breast – 26.43
  • 100 breast – 56.59
  • 200 breast – 2:03.01
  • 200 IM – 1:55.68
  • 100 back – 54.85
