Minnesota Promotes Steve Miller

The Minnesota Golden Gophers have promoted volunteer assistant Steve Miller to a full-time position.

He will take over the spot vacated when Bill Trammell left to take over the head position at Marshall.

Miller is himself a Gopher graduate, having wrapped up his career as a captain in the 2008-2009 season. Since then, he has been volunteering while working toward his Masters Degree, having focused his efforts on the sprint group. The sprint group, especially in 2010-2011, was the hallmark of this Minnesota team.

He is also credited for working with All-American breaststroker Ivan Gutesa.
