Matt McLean Offers Insight on NBAC & Explains his Takeaway From the 2012 Olympics (Video)

Olympic Champion, Matt McLean, recaps his 2014 Grand Prix at Austin.

McLean’s drilling down on training at Bob Bowman’s NBAC. Training has been challenging, but perfect for his goals moving toward the 2016 Olympic Games.

Also, McLean, in his words, explains how he bounced back at the 2012 US Olympic Trials. It wasn’t the Olympic gold he won in that event that stays with him, though it’s clearly important. It’s the fact that he bounced back at Olympic Trials, after barely missing the US Team in the 400m free, to make the Olympic 4×200 freestyle relay.

McLean, an Arena Athlete, hosted a Youth Session before the finals of the Austin Grand Prix with Olympic peer Aaron Peirsol. McLean hosts a lot of clinics for kids, and Arena works with him to help to promote the sport to the grassroots using the Arena Grand Prix Series as a platform.
